Mental health first aid - passed!

Pushing mental health forward on the workplace agenda is hugely important to me, especially working in a fast-moving industry like digital. 👨‍💻

Today, I became certified as a Level 2 Mental Health First Aider!

But, while I’m hugely thankful to Lamp Charity for organising such a great course…

…to be honest, I’m just looking forward to a future when training like this doesn’t have to exist, and EVERY industry cares about people’s mental well-being by:

☀️ Encouraging healthy work/life balance
🏃‍♂️ Regular team-building exercises
📝 Ensuring resources are accessible
💜 Driving open conversations casually
🤗 Prioritising a supportive environment
👀 Recognising those struggling

Taking care of mental health in the workplace also stems from making it a casual conversation in life, without stigma. It starts and ends with the people - it’s a mindset. The day this all becomes commonplace, is the same day some won’t reach a breaking point 💚
