Eyesight Productions: Lights Out for Halloween

Since 2018, I’ve been helping Market Harborough based film company Eyesight Productions showcase their work online - primarily through the new website I crafted for them. After the launch of the website, I was tasked with continual management of the site content, design and experience. It’s important for the website to continually give users a reason to re-visit, mostly through our content strategy.

However, to amplify this objective Alex and I sat down for a productive workshop and creatively decided to switch the lights off for Halloween. Yes, we jumped on the dark mode bandwagon and inverted the website for just one week in celebration of the spooky season.

I spent some time going over the website and inverting the colour scheme to be a slick dark mode. Everything that was white, turned black. And when the final product came together, it morphed into a gorgeous new interface - with the deep blue colours blending perfectly with the new true blacks. It created a whole new dimension for the website. In fact, I was almost tempted to create a permanent dark mode version! This fresh new palette won’t be around forever, though.

Visit the website until Saturday 2nd of November to experience Eyesight Productions, in the dark.

Dark mode creates the perfect atmosphere for promoting an event like Halloween.
